A Level History and French Students Explore the Heart of Paris
We love Paris in the Springtime!
Paris in the sunshine is always a good idea – especially for our French and History A Level students just before Easter!
Our four-day tour took the Historians to the Musee de l’Armee and Napoleon’s tomb at Les Invalides, and the French students to the Musee de la Liberation and the Marais, enriching their studies of France in WWII.
The weather was exceptionally good, which made our French revolution walking tour a real success. The wonderful Musée Carnavalet provided a treasure trove of French revolutionary objects, paintings and curios. Madame Beckermann expertly guided us in the Musee d’Orsay and we were able to spend a full day at Versailles.
This time, our visit included Marie-Antoinette’s beautiful working farm and the Petit Trianon palace alongside the Hall of Mirrors and the Royal Apartments. Between the bistro dinner out and the Seine river cruise, our students fully immersed themselves in the language and the history.
