Aims
Our long-term vision as a school is encompassed by two key aims:
– To offer an excellent academic and co-curricular education for girls that both stimulates and challenges them, and where every girl has the opportunity to achieve her best at school and beyond.
– To provide a supportive and outward-looking environment where girls feel valued and are listened to, where girls develop their confidence and where they are encouraged to show respect for all members of the community.
Ethos
There are five priorities which are at the heart of our educational ethos:
Academic clout and an academic culture – providing a rich and challenging education for our students, both in and out of the classroom
Voice – Giving girls the tools and experiences so that they can present, debate and speak up
Leadership and initiative – giving all students opportunities and encouragement to take the lead, and to introduce new ideas and ventures
A compassionate community – ensuring students respect and value each other and themselves, and celebrate altruism both in and outside school
Skills for life – ensuring our students have an outward-facing perspective, and develop as open-minded, world-ready individuals with the skills to thrive in their studies, work and in the world at large
