"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

American and International Universities Information Evening

We welcomed Jason Smith from UES Education to NHEHS for our American and International Universities Information Evening, an event which was open to parents and girls from all year group in the Senior School. We were delighted to see girls from across the age range interested in a number of pathways, including through sport.

UES are leaders in this sector and have worked with us for a number of years to support American applications. Jason shared his expertise and outlined the opportunities available in the USA, Canada and more generally internationally. He will be returning to us later in the year to provide 1:1 guidance sessions with our candidates to help build their shortlists.

Director of Universities, Mrs Collins, outlined how NHEHS supports candidates who are applying internationally. We have alumnae currently studying at Caltech, Cornell and the University of Michigan in the USA, at McGill in Canada, at the University of Melbourne in Australia and at both Trinity and University Colleges in Dublin. She referenced our event from earlier this term with Rob Thomas of Sporting Elite USA, which offered opportunities for families to arrange an initial consultation with Rob, whose advice is invaluable on this specialised route to American universities. At NHEHS, we offer support with the preparation of essays, letters of recommendation and applications via Common App.
