An Inspector Calls: Year 10 Curriculum Drama Performances
By Ariane M, Year 10
Last week our drama class performed, with the help of Ms McQuillan and Ms Smith, the play An Inspector Calls by J.B Priestly.
An Inspector Calls tells the story of a family being interrogated by an Inspector about the death of a girl they all had known in the past. The story explores socialism vs. capitalism, hierarchy and morality. This was to help us learn more about the play, and the staging type we chose – Traverse (Audience on either side of the stage).
We really enjoyed stepping out of our comfort zones with our characters, performing in front of family and friends, and learning more about the play and ourselves as a class.
