As part of our careers programme, Chartered Surveyor Victoria Collett gave a fascinating talk on multidisciplinary careers to Years 10 to 13 and pupils from our partner schools on Wednesday 30th September. She shared the advice that everything you learn at school might come in use in ways you’d never expect later on. And don’t give up – what might feel difficult now you might be brilliant at later on! She shared the huge variety of subjects and courses that can take you down a range of career paths – and to keep an open mind.

Victoria is currently working for St John’s College in Oxford to deliver the Oxford North masterplan – a whole new district for the city of Oxford. She was inspired to work in real estate development after studying the London Docklands in Geography A-Level and studied Land Economy at Cambridge before completing a training contract at a London firm.

The next lecture will be 11th November with Meteorologist Baden Hall in the Recital Hall, so make sure your daughters have it in their calendars!
