"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Charities and Volunteering Update – February 2026

It has been a busy start to the year for our charities and volunteering teams. Here is the latest on our fundraising and community efforts:

Year 9: Spreading the love for Women’s Aid

Congratulations to our Year 9 students, who have officially wrapped up their series of charity events!  Year 9 students raised funds for Women’s Aid through a range of creative and charitable initiatives. These included a Valentine’s sweets and chocolate delivery, two successful bake sales, a small Winter Fair, and a cookie-decorating event.

Year 8: Planning begins

As one year group finishes, another begins! Our Year 8 students will be stepping up to the plate after half term, where they will be planning their own charity initiatives.

Save the Date: The Cultural Fair

An important event coming up soon is our Cultural Fair, taking place after the half term break. This is a fantastic celebration of the diverse cultures that make up our community. Students and staff are already busily signing up to run stalls. All money raised from this event will support the vital work of the Ealing Winter Night Shelter.

Year 10 Enrichment – Volunteering

After the half term break, students will continue their regular visits to local parks and care homes. After going to North Ealing Primary School to read with pupils during this first half of term, we will be helping out at the school as part of Science Week as well as ongoing visits and support for the Salvation Army and Ealing Age UK.

We are also looking forward to preparing for the Easter Fair for clients of Mencap.

Finally, keep an eye out for more details regarding our upcoming Comic Relief event  – more information to follow soon!
