"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Charities & Volunteering Spring Term 2025

We have been planning and making preparations for a busy spring term of charities and volunteering, and were delighted to receive some lovely thank you messages from Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter:

“Thank you for letting us know that Notting Hill High School raised around £950 for the work of Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter from your Christmas Card Sale and Christmas Jumper Day.  This is wonderfully encouraging to us.”

A message from St Andrew’s Church, Ealing:

“I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you at Notting Hill and Ealing Girls School who cooked and delivered food for the Ealing Churches winter night shelter at St Andrews over the weekend of 28th/29th December. The food was delicious and much appreciated by our guests.”

Knitter and Knatter Bake Sale

Knitter and Knatter club held a fantastic bake sale where they raised £120. They intend to use this money to buy wool to knit more squares to make into blankets which will be sent on to the charity Woolly Hugs where they will be distributed.

Year 9 Charity Fundraising

This half term the focus turns to Year 9 who started their charity events with a successful bake sale on Monday 13th.

Other events that they have planned for are “spin the wheel and get a prize”, “deliver a gift for valentine” and one more event that they are still deciding on. The year group have shortlisted their chosen charities – Beat (eating disorders), Crisis (homeless charity) and Battersea Cats and Dogs Home  – from which they will all vote on one to raise money for.

Enrichment

Enrichment starts for Year 10 and 11 next week when the Caring Choir will head out to Chestnut Lodge Care Home, our park group to Pitshanger park and volunteering will go to Heron House sheltered accommodation to carry out crafts and games with the residents.

Cultural Fair

Our annual Cultural Fair and Dress Up Day will be making a return as Culture Week on Tuesday 28th January. Year 12 will be voting on a charity for the day shortly.
