"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Charities & Volunteering Update – March 2026

We have been very busy on the charities and volunteering fronts since the February half term!

First up was the Cultural Fair. It was so lovely seeing staff and students getting involved and celebrating and sharing their heritage with the students as well as teaching them a little something about their cultural backgrounds. Students learnt greetings and fun facts about the different countries and artefacts to look at. Tasting food was especially popular! Yet again, a wide range of countries were represented from all over the world, including countries in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Iran, India, Ethiopia and many others. Over £350 was raised for the work or Ealing Winter Night shelter.

Volunteering

Our Year 10 Enrichment Programme continues, with a group visiting our local Age UK  day centre, where the customers really enjoyed the singing and also joined in enthusiastically. Meanwhile, one group of students have been planning for the termly Ealing Mencap Fair which will be held in the last week of the term and another preparing for leading Science Week activities at North Ealing Primary School next week.

We continue to work with the local park rangers and care homes as well as ongoing visits to Ealing Age UK. and support for the Salvation Army, where next time our students will be sorting baby clothes and putting together baby packs for young families.

Year 9 Charity

Year 9 completed their half term of charity fundraising events for their chosen charity, Women’s Aid.

Year 8 Charity

Year 8 chose Make a Wish as their year group charity and have planned a number of exciting initiatives to support it, which included a sweet sale earlier this week and a fun fair next Tuesday, including a tombola, henna and bubble tea.

Care4Calais Collection

We will be collecting Easter eggs again for the children at the C4C supported hotel in Hayes. Small sized boxed chocolate eggs are ideal and we will be collecting these from Monday 16th to Monday 23rd with donations to be brought to the lower atrium in time for the  visit on Tuesday 24th March (for Year 10 upwards).

Charity Fashion Show

Next Wednesday sees our annual charity Fashion Show, where we will be supporting Dress for Success. Get your tickets on Parentpay for this exciting event as tickets are selling quickly! More on the Fashion Show.

Thank you for your continued support!
