Ancient Worlds Come Alive in Classics Showcase 2025
Last night, our Year 10–13 Classicists and their parents enjoyed a Classics Showcase evening in our Junior School Hall.
GCSE and A Level pupils spoke confidently, eloquently, and passionately on subjects as diverse as epic poetry, heroism, warfare and autocracy, and performed extracts from the classical greats: the Iliad, Aeneid and Antigone.
We were also delighted to welcome back Amara Gill, Class of 2025, who is now reading Greek and Near Eastern Studies at UCL. In a Q&A, she told our audience how much she had enjoyed her fourteen years at NHEHS and how well the school – and particularly the Classics department – had prepared her with both the knowledge and skills she is using at university.
Well done to all involved!
