We had the privilege of taking our students to a choral music concert featuring the Continuum Choir, directed by our Head of Choral Music, Mr Guthrie.

Some of the students’ most notable pieces from the evening were Frank Martin’s Messe pour double chœur a cappella. This was a great showcase of intricate vocal harmonies. Also, a contemporary piece, In Peace I Will Lie Down and Sleep, commissioned for the choir and composed by Lucy Walker. Our own choir (pictured) were captivated by the choir’s power and command of the human voice, which enveloped the venue with such brilliant sound. It was an enriching experience that surely left the students inspired and eager to explore choral music further.
