Dinosaur Dreams and Fabulous Fossils: Year 7 Trip to the Natural History Museum

By Fatima A-H, Year 7

Last week we went on a school trip to the Natural history Museum, and it was amazing! As soon as we walked in, I was blown away by the ginormous whale displayed at the entrance. It was amazing how massive the place was. I could hardly believe that a place so big existed.

At the start, we spent a lot of time gaping at the amazing Mary Anning displays. I still can not believe that a young girl at the age of twelve could be able to find fossils.

We then looked at quite perplexing creepy crawlies (which I found quite intriguing). My favourite part of the museum was the gemstone exhibit; some of them were worth millions of pounds and they were super shiny.

Overall it was a fun experience and extremely educational trip. I definitely want to go back and explore the museum. I definitely want to go back and explore more of the museum next time!
