Madame Spencer took a group of Year 10 and 12 students to Lille for the day last Saturday and had a  a fabulous day, full of sun, culture, and French food! 

First we visited the wonderful Musée des Beaux Arts in Lille, a stone’s throw from the Eurostar station and a must see! We lunched at the Paon d’or where we ordered local specialities – in French of course! Our final stop was at the amazing Patisserie Meert where we enjoyed a tour and tasting.

The students loved it all and brought back cakes and waffles home (if they made it home – lots of waffles were harmed/eaten in the making of this trip!) 

We enjoyed a fantastic day and the trip was a great success!
