Families Together Challenge for Amnesty
By Abha Bhole, Student Leader of NHEHS Amnesty Youth Group
Every year, refugee families are constantly being separated and are denied contact with each other. This degrading treatment is completely unacceptable and you can help make a difference.
Our group had originally planned to take part in the Capital Ring Walk for Amnesty this term to raise money by encouraging as many staff and students to sign up to cover the various sections of the walk. However, due to Covid, the Walk has been put on pause.
So instead, we would like to invite you and your family to take part in our Families Together challenge. Here’s the challenge:
Sign up by Friday the 5th of March
Complete a fun activity involving the whole family. It can be anything-walking, baking, singing-be creative!
Send us a photo or video of your experience by Monday 22nd March.
We would love for you to contribute to our fundraising efforts. (Recommended Donation: £5 per family). Our target is £500 and here is our Just Giving page. Remember, even the smallest action can make a huge difference.
Thank you!
