From the Acropolis to Olympia: A Journey Through Ancient Greece

On the first day of our trip to Greece during half term, we visited the Parthenon and the ancient Agorra in Athens. Despite the rain, we enjoyed beautiful views from the top of the Acropolis and learning about the worship of the ancient goddess Athena. After busy but brilliant day, we had a good night’s rest!
The following day, we explored the theatre of Epidaurus. It was fascinating to experience the perfect acoustics of the space. Later in the day, we visited Mycenae, the legendary home of King Agamemnon.
On the next day, in a highlight of the trip we went to ancient Olympia, home of the Olympic Games. We even raced each other on the original track! Then we went onto Delphi where we ascended into the clouds to see where the oracle of Delphi delivered her messages.
Finally we headed back to the airport and home.
