Fun, fizz and friendship: NHEHS Old Girls’ Association Tea Party
The NHEHS Old Girls’ Association welcomed back alumnae for its annual tea party, where the sun was (almost!) shining and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, Prosecco, and plenty of tea. It was a joy to see so many former NHEHS pupils reconnecting and reminiscing about their school days, with a particularly strong turnout from the celebratory years. The Classes of 1965, 1975, 1985, and 1995 were especially well represented, making the event a lovey, vibrant mix of generations!
One of the day’s standout moments was in the sports hall, where the Old Girls’ Netball Team took on the current Sixth Form. In a spirited and good-natured match, the alumnae secured victory for the first time in a very long time—perhaps ever!
The afternoon was made even more special by a heartfelt address from Noor Ahmed, Class of 2022 and a former NHEHS bursary student. Noor spoke movingly about how her transformational bursary allowed her to thrive at NHEHS and pursue opportunities she had never imagined possible. Her story really is a true testament to the power of the NHEHS alumnae community and the enduring connection that remains long after school days are over.
