GCSE Triumph for Year 11s!
Our Year 11 students laid strong foundations for Sixth Form following an impressive set of exam results today.
Out of a cohort of 94, 45% of entries were awarded grade 9, 74% entries were grade 9 or 8, and 91% of entries were awarded grades 9 to 7.
A significant number of girls attained the highest possible grades across the board. 28 students (30%) achieved 7 or more Grade 9s and 32% of pupils gained straight 9s and 8s.
Commenting on the results, Allison Saunders, Head, said: “Huge congratulations to our Year 11 cohort on a fantastic set of GCSE results today. Watching this group grow in confidence and determination over the past two years has been a joy, and today’s success is richly deserved. Moving into the Sixth Form is an exciting new chapter, and these results give our students the perfect springboard from which to leap into their A-level studies with passion and purpose.
Our students excelled across the range of subjects offered, with particularly strong outcomes in Modern and Classical Languages, Music, RS, and Art. There was also notable success in STEM and Humanities which reflects the school’s determination to develop pupils with a passion for learning in all subject areas and who take an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving and creativity. We are proud to provide pupils with the inspirational learning experiences and personalised support which enable them to achieve academic success.”
Last week, we also announced an exceptional set of A Level results with 23% of entries awarded A*, 64% achieving A* or A, and 90% achieving A* to B.
