GDST LEAD at LSE
Recently, Year 12 students travelled to the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with students across the GDST to take part in the launch of this year’s GDST LEAD programme.
GDST LEAD, run in partnership with LSE Generate and now in its fifth year, is designed to develop the problem-solving, communication, entrepreneurial and leadership skills necessary to be future leaders through courage, compassion and creativity.
Students heard from keynote speaker Shiromi Bedessee, founder of Kin a start-up that brings human guidance on demand and participated in a Negotiation Skills 101 workshop as well as an improv workshop with Hoopla.
Each team now has access to their own dedicated LSE mentor to support and advise them through the business planning process until the final showcase event later this academic year, when students will pitch their ideas to judges and 200 peers.
