"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

International Friendships Flourish with German & Spanish Schools

Our Year 8 German students were very excited to open their first letters from their German penpals earlier this month. We have partnered with the Helmholtz Gymnasium in Karlsruhe. Following a great trip to Germany last July when our Year 9 penpals met for the first time, we are delighted to welcome them to Ealing for a visit this summer.

Meanwhile earlier this week, our Year 10 students kicked off an exciting e-live project with our partner school, Colegio Guadalaviar, in Valencia! Eighteen of our Spanish students signed up and were ‘encantadas’ with their first session, getting to know their partners and chatting about Christmas traditions in their countries.

Next up: students from both schools will collaborate on a project about myths and legends, tied to our MFL theme this year, and share their findings with their partners in the spring term!
