Maths Week England 2025 at Junior School

Maths Week England was a huge hit at Junior School last week!
Mr Hayes and our STEAM Ambassadors kicked things off with a fun assembly on coincidences vs patterns where our Year 6s brought maths to life with humorous every day examples that everyone really enjoyed.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed puzzles and pattern activities led by our Year 6 STEAM Ambassadors.
Years 5 and 6 joined a Maths Week England world record attempt – the most people to do a Buffon’s Needle Experiment – dropping 1,500+ matchsticks to estimate π along with pupils from schools all over the country!
Years 3 and 4 wrapped up the week with an engaging algebra session.
A fantastic week full of problem-solving and fun!
