Musicians Shine at Teatime Concert
On November 10th we welcomed parents, friends and families of our musicians to our termly Teatime Concert. The 17 students, from Year 7 upwards, played a variety of instruments including voice, piano, violin, viola and flute.
The concert opened with a voice performance ‘Mama Who Bore Me’ from Spring Awakening, before our students took us on a musical journey from Schubert to Beethoven via De Abreu, Telemann and Haydn. Many of our students were performing in the concert ahead of their ABRSM music exams which they are taking this month. We also look forward to hearing them perform in various ensembles as of our autumn concert on 29th November and lower school autumn concert on the 5th December.
Mr Wright, Acting Director of Music, said “It was wonderful to hear the enormous variety and quality of individual making across the school, presented so professionally by all of our students. This was a lovely evening with some very proud parents and music teachers! Thank you to all who were involved or came to support the students.”
