National Honours for our School as Five Athletes selected for Team GB – a standout number from one school

Four of our current students and one recent alumna have been selected to represent Great Britain in Water Polo. This represents a standout number from one school, underscoring the strength and rapid rise of Water Polo here at NHEHS.

The talented group includes sisters Jaspreet (Year 13) and Manpreet (Year 11), alongside Iskra (Year 11) and Emily (Year 11). They are joined by Zara Dannatt, who graduated from NHEHS in summer 2025.

Their selection reflects the rapid rise of Water Polo at NHEHS. In recent years, teams from our school have achieved exceptional national results. Our U18 and U15 teams are current national champions and the U13 team was national champion the year before.

Speaking about their selection, Jaspreet said: “It’s so good to see our hard work and discipline pay off – we train every evening for long hours and to be recognised in this way is an important reward for us too. Thanks to our coach at school, Mr Bent, and to our external coaches, we have been inspired to push to GB and hope to inspire others to push for their sporting achievements”.

A delighted Mr Rob Bent, swimming and water polo coach at Notting Hill & Ealing High School, said: “We are immensely proud of all five athletes. Their commitment, resilience and love for the sport have shone through, and to see them recognised at national level is fantastic. At NHEHS we focus on nurturing a passion for water polo from the very beginning and as our girls take on the sport more seriously, our partnership with several outstanding local clubs such as West London Penguins and leading coaches forms a strong talent pathway. The dedication of parents and staff provides vital support both in and out of school. This success is a true team effort”
