"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

NHEHS Partners with John Lyon’s Charity

By Mrs Tollit, Development Manager

We are delighted to announce our partnership with John Lyon’s Charity, which gives grants to benefit children and young people up to the age of 25 who live in nine boroughs in North and West London: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea and the Cities of London and Westminster.

The Charity’s mission is to promote the life-chances of children and young people through education, which is consistent with the interests of its founder, John Lyon, when he founded Harrow School.  Since 1991, the Charity has distributed over £179 million to a range of services for young people, including youth clubs, arts projects, counselling initiatives, supplementary schools, parental support schemes, sports programmes and academic bursaries.

We are hugely grateful for the Charity’s support of NHEHS’ scheme through which a number of students who have the talent but not the means have been able to benefit from our aspirational and grounded school.
