"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. We’re very excited that our competitive sport fixtures are back – in a Covid-safe environment, of course!

Road to Wimbledon Tennis Tournament

This is an internal tennis tournament for Years 7-9, where the winning player goes on to represent NHEHS at a County Round. We have played the Year 7 and 9 rounds, with Year 8 playing next Tuesday. For Year 7 Sophia DJ was the winner, with Nico M getting the runner up spot.

For Year 9 Hannah K took pole position, with Ellie C being the runner up. The winners from Year 7-9 will be taking each other on next week!

Cricket

Huge congratulations to Sofia Y (Year 8) who has been selected into the Middlesex Cricket Performance Squad! Dana N and Jaspreet G (both Year 8) were also successful in making the Middlesex Cricket Development Squad and Lana G (Year 5)  for making the U11 Development Squad – all after taking part in several trials  – so we are hugely proud of them all getting in.

Athletics

We are delighted to be back at Perivale Track regularly now with Year 7-9s having athletics sessions for for track and field there in their Games lessons!

There have been some outstanding athletics results this week in various open meets and inter school competitions. Natasha B (Year 8) managed to knock 4 seconds off her 800m time at a recent competition with 2 minutes 28 seconds, Eadi SJ who ran 2 minutes 37 (800m) and Rosie H 2 minutes 43 seconds (800m) with Nicola H running 5 minutes 39 seconds in the 1500.

Year 8’s Zoe J was exceptional in a school meet, running the 100m in 13 seconds dead and throwing a discuss 24 metres! Morven P also impressed in the 100m with a time of 13.39, and Georgia C with 13.88. Hannah P ran the 300m in 46 seconds!

Hockey

Big congratulations to Anna W who has been selected into the U16 Middlesex Hockey Squad!
