NHEHS Wins Innovation Project Award at 2025–2026 FIRST LEGO League
By Mr Lawrence, Head of Engineering
The 2025–2026 FIRST LEGO League season, titled “UNEARTHED,” challenges students to explore the hidden history beneath the Earth’s surface. Participants are tasked with using STEM and robotics to find innovative ways to discover, recover, and protect archaeological and geological treasures. The theme emphasises the delicate balance between modern progress and the preservation of our global heritage.
Our team achieved remarkable success this year, winning the Innovation Project Award for the best project. Their winning entry focused on a specialised modification for farming equipment designed to preserve artefacts located in the soil. By addressing the impact of agricultural machinery on buried history, the team demonstrated exceptional research and problem-solving skills.
