Notting Hill & Ealing High School Appoints New Head

We are delighted to announce that GDST Trustees have appointed Mrs Allison Saunders as the new Head of Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS).

A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Allison is currently Senior Deputy Head at St Catherine’s, an independent girls’ school in Twickenham, a position she has held for two years. She is a highly experienced and dedicated senior leader with an accomplished track record of developing and implementing ambitious and innovative solutions, delivered in the best interests of her students. Prior to this, she was Deputy Head at St Helen’s, an academically selective independent girls’ school in Northwood. She has also held positions at Haberdashers’ Girls’ School in Elstree, Queen Anne’s School in Caversham and worked outside the education sector, with the Civil Service and in consultancy roles.

Allison says, “It is an honour and privilege to be appointed Head of Notting Hill & Ealing High School following Matthew’s tenure. I am enormously excited to be joining the school and doing all I can to continue developing the school’s outstanding reputation. I look forward to working in collaboration with the school community, to enable our students to strive for ambitious goals and fearlessly embrace challenge and opportunity in order to fulfil their full potential.”

Allison will take up her new role at the beginning of the summer term. During the spring term, Mrs Rebecca Irwin will be Acting Head; she is currently Senior Deputy Head, a position she has held for eight years, and has previous experience as interim Acting Head of NHEHS.
