Notting Hill & Ealing High School Features in Top 20 All-Girls Schools in National Survey for Cricket
Notting Hill & Ealing High School has been ranked within the top 20 all-girls schools category in a nation-wide survey highlighting the best schools in the UK for Cricket.
The survey, which was carried out after an exhaustive research and selection process by The Cricketer Magazine, covers schools who have a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.
The Cricketer gathered entries and compiled the leading lists, consulting former England star Lydia Greenway and her coaching initiative, Cricket for Girls, to select the Top 20 all-girls schools.
Commenting on the School’s debut inclusion, Sophie Nicholas, Director of Sport at Notting Hill & Ealing High School, said:
“I’m delighted that we have been included in this impressive guide for School’s cricket. Cricket is a hugely important sport at Notting Hill & Ealing High School with significant heritage. In fact, our first ever all female cricket team dates from 1887. The sport has stayed core to our curriculum ever since and we have worked hard especially in recent years, to create a thriving cricket environment for our students including a partnership with coaches from Ealing Cricket Club. And this past year in particular, we have seen some major triumphs with our U12s winning the London Schools Indoor Lady Taverners Cup – a title we have held since 2018 – and our U15s reaching Regional Finals, representing Middlesex. This survey is ultimately a testament to all the amazing efforts of our students and their tremendous enthusiasm for the sport.”
