Our Production Cast Goes Into the Woods at the Bridge Theatre

By Matilda H

On Tuesday the 20th of January, the cast and crew of our school’s Into The Woods production, attended the west end production of Into The Woods at the Bridge Theatre.

We had brilliant seats in the stalls and were all very excited to see if it would be as good as ours! The cast was brilliant and the staging was magical. It was so surreal to see, and all of the cast were mouthing the lyrics to all of the songs, especially Your Fault. All of the actors were amazing and it was great to see our characters come to life in front of us. Jamie Parker who played the Baker was amazing, and his interpretation of ‘No More’ was extremely emotional, making everyone tear up. I also found some of their choices really interesting, such as how at the end they had all the main characters say ‘I wish’ instead of only Cinderella, which I thought really summed up the whole story.

I was amazed by the lighting throughout the whole play, but specifically during the witches exit and overall I thought it was an amazing production that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
