Recording Session with Continuum Choir
On 11th January, Year 12 Georgia C joined our Head of Choral Music, Mr Guthrie, to record music by Elizabeth Poston at St Barnabas’ Church, Ealing.
Georgia accompanied singers from the professional choir, Continuum, and worked in a fast professional environment with only twenty minutes to record the piece! The recording was for the charity Multitude of Voyces who champion the music of female composers.
Georgia said, “I really enjoyed this recording, as it was my first experience of the sort and I definitely feel like it has improved my skills as an accompanist, as I had to follow a conductor and make improvements to my playing as the session went on. Despite the bitter cold, the atmosphere was cheerful and extremely welcoming, and overall it gave me a taste of what a career in music could potentially look like.”
