Science Week Magic: Year 12s Year Bring Fun Experiments to Life for Youngest Junior Pupils
Last Friday our Year 12 Science Reps came to Junior School to give an amazing Science Workshop for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 as part of Science Week!
Our Biology Reps taught the girls about DNA and how we are all different, with a fun taste experiment, while our Computer Science Reps introduced our NHEHS Juniors to the world of pixels and colours in computing. In Physics we enjoyed the effects of static electricity with balloons and a Van de Graaff generator while in Chemistry the girls were wowed with ‘traffic light’ colourful chemical reactions and a fantastically foamy fountain!
The Year 12s were ably assisted by our new Year 5 STEAM Ambassadors who were announced last week and our Senior School Scientist in Residence, Mr Ali.
