Select Singers perform the UK Premiere of Bob Chilcott’s ‘The Rainbow’

We were thrilled to be invited to take part in the UK premiere of The Rainbow, a beautiful new work by renowned composer Bob Chilcott. After a term of dedicated rehearsals, our students joined forces with singers from St Catherine’s School, West London Free School, and the West London Chorus for a memorable performance at St Stephen’s Church, Gloucester Road.
The concert was conducted by Hilary Campbell, who many of our students know from the school’s conducting project. It was a wonderful opportunity to see her in a professional context, shaping the choir’s sound with skill and nuance. We were especially honoured by the presence of Bob Chilcott himself, who attended the performance.
We also want to thank Mr Jones who, as well as being one of our teachers, sings with West London Chorus and accompanied the trip. His support and enthusiasm added greatly to the experience for everyone involved.
Our students sang with enthusiasm, focus, and musicality – a real credit to their hard work and commitment throughout the term.
