"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Six Venues in One Day Inspire DT Students at London Design Festival

In October our Year 11-13 Design Technology students visited a range of Design exhibitions for them to obtain ideas, inspiration and research for their major A Level and GCSE coursework projects. The exhibitions were part of the ‘London Design Festival’ where numerous Design exhibitions ran throughout the week in London.

Our GCSE and A Level Design Technology students were lucky enough to visit no less than SIX amazing venues in one day as part of the London Design Festival!

Years 11-13 students visited a range of Design exhibitions for them to obtain ideas, inspiration and research for their major coursework projects, including a variety of exhibitions within Bankside and Brompton Design Districts comprising a selection of smaller galleries and designer workshops. The group started at the ‘Material Matters’ Exhibition, moving to the Pavilions of Wonder, Somerset House and ‘New Perspective’ by The Conran Shop before lunch. In the afternoon, students thoroughly enjoyed the unusual perspectives of the Paradox Museum before finishing a busy day at the V&A.
