The Summer Concert took place on a very warm Monday evening and was met with tremendous enthusiasm from the students and audience alike.

Our newest ensemble, Choristers, comprising students from Years 5–7, made their debut performance with great confidence, presenting Richard Rodney Bennett’s The Letter of Scott of the Antarctic. Other highlights included the Marimba Ensemble’s colourful rendition of Under the Sea, complete with floral decorations, and Senior Choir’s impressive a cappella performance of Duffy’s Mercy.

Harmony Choir demonstrated its versatility with contrasting performances of Heart of Earth by Shruthi Rajasekar and You’ll Be Back from Hamilton. The Percussion Ensemble, which had to be positioned further back in the hall due to its volume, made a huge impact with a thrilling performance featuring nine snare and bass drums.

The concert concluded with performances from all four school rock bands, whose repertoire ranged from Billie Eilish to Oasis. It was a wonderful evening of music-making, and a huge congratulations to all the students and staff involved.
