Scholars in Years 10-13 took part in a workshop coached by Hilary Campbell, conducting a quartet of singers from Blossom Street.

Hilary has worked with us for a number of years, delivering workshops termly to students on everything from beating technique, to score preparation and ensemble management. All the students grew in confidence through the workshop, and for two students, it was the first time they had led professional singers and saw how their gesture or opening breath could affect the sound produced. The immediacy of the effect their gesture produced was exciting and really emphasised the role of the conductor within an ensemble.
