These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Team NHEHS Takes on the Ealing Half Marathon for the Seventh Time!

On Sunday 28th September 2025, our amazing team of parents and staff from both the Junior and Senior Schools took on the Ealing Half Marathon, raising funds for our designated local charity, The Log Cabin in Northfields.

The team trained hard over the summer for the 13.1-mile challenge, joining more than 4,000 runners at the mass start outside Walpole Park. The scenic route wound through central, north and west Ealing, including the famously tough Park View Road and Greenford Avenue, before the finish back at Walpole Park.

This year marked our seventh Ealing Half Marathon supporting The Log Cabin, a fantastic charity that provides inclusive play and support for children with disabilities and additional needs.

Staff included Miss Finch, Miss Neilson, Mrs Goodall, Mr Hegarty and Ms McLaughlin.

We were also thrilled to see Sixth Former Iszy join the team for her first ever half marathon – a brilliant achievement!

There was brilliant support along the route from pupils, parents and staff, cheering the runners every step of the way.

Mrs Johnson, our Charities Co-Ordinator who was part of our team said, “it was a great atmosphere as always and was so nice to see members of the team at different stages of the route, especially at the cross over points in Hanwell and West Ealing – some had nearly finished and I still had quite a distance to go! Thank you for being a part of the NHEHS team and for helping to raise money for such an important local charity. This year we are thrilled to have raised over £3000 for the Log Cabin. Thank you to our parents and staff for all their fundraising and for everyone who sponsored the team” The Log Cabin are so grateful for the difference this money will make

To add to the fun, we held a whole-school Sports Dress-Up Day on the Friday before the race, with pupils wearing their favourite sportswear in exchange for donations to The Log Cabin.

Together, we’ve already raised over £3,000 for this wonderful cause and we’d love to build on that total. If you’d like to contribute, our JustGiving page is still open here

Thank you to everyone for your incredible generosity and community spirit!
