The Franklin – 9th Edition of our Science Dept Newsletter
Our Science Department is thrilled to announce the publication of our latest newsletter to coincide with Maths and Science Week!
Published three times a year, ‘The Franklin’ gives girls a chance to research and produce an academically rigorous piece of writing about an aspect of science they find fascinating and is open to contributions from any student in the Senior School.
We hope you enjoy a range of student contributions from Year 7 all the way through to the Sixth Form, covering a wide variety of scientific topics:
Can Chatbots Be Trusted?
Breakthrough in nuclear fusion energy production
What is absolute zero and why is it impossible to reach?
Moons of our solar system
What is Epigenetics?
The effects of sulphate shampoo on hair loss
The ‘Brain-eating’ amoeba case in Florida
The James Webb space telescope
This edition of The Franklin was edited by Esha R, Caitlin FA and Adeline G from Year 9 with Ms Brown as Editor-in-Chief.
