U12s Win GDST Netball Rally for Second Year in a Row!

By Molly H and Anna O-T, Year 7

The under 12 netball A team recently competed in the GDST Under 12 Netball Rally on the 28th of January. Throughout the morning, we played the following schools.

We started with a strong 15-0 win against Oxford high school, followed by another 18-1 victory against Portsmouth school. There was lots of great play in both of these matches, but it was a close win against Wimbledon next with a score of 12-8, only winning by 4. After that close victory, we claimed a strong win against Royal high school, beating them 21-0. Next, we faced one of the toughest schools attending the rally, Putney High, and beat them by 8 points, with the score being 14-6.  Last but not least, we played Northwood high school beating them 11-4.

In the afternoon, we split into smaller groups, and we got placed with Wimbledon and Putney. We began the afternoon with another win against Putney, beating them 22-14. Finally, we played Wimbledon, beating them by a very narrow 11-9 win.

An amazing array of talent was shown across the court, and we also had loads of fun doing it! We came home with gold medals and everyone had lots and lots of fun.
