Weekly Sports Update October 7th 2022

Team of the week was shared between our U16A, U15A and U14A netball teams who have all qualified for the Middlesex County Netball Finals in March 2023!

Netball

Our U18 team took part in the Middlesex Prelim tournament on October 5th. The team won four out of the 8 games played against St Helen’s, LEH, Kew House, NLCS, St Benedict’s, Highgate, Twyford and Latymer Upper. Final results to be announced shortly.

At the same competition, our U16A team won all games bar one against LEH, Twyford, Grey Court, St Augustine’s, St Benedict’s and St Catherine’s. they will go on to play in the Middlesex Finals in March next year.

Our U14 and U15 teams were also successful and will be taking part in the finals in March too. Well done to all!

Our U12A-F teams took on Godolphin & Latymer away on October 4th. Our A team won 17-4 and our C team by 9-0. The other teams lost, respectively – the B’s 4-5, the Ds by 3-5, the Es by 2-4 and the Fs 2-5.

The previous week, in the SistersnSport Cup our U14 team was given a bye into the next round while our U16team won 27-24 vs. James Allen’s Girls’ School.

Our U13A team finished fifth in the trophy section of the GSA Condover Hall Netball Tournament. In the pool, their results were as follows:

Vs Putney (lost 3-9), vs JAGS (won 11-4), vs Channing (won 9-5), vs Manchester High (won 8-7), vs Tormead (won 10-9), vs Sir William Perkins (won 7-5), vs Marist B (won 15-0).

In the Trophy playoffs, the team lost 7-8 to Headington School, won 11-9 against LEH, won 13-9 vs St Paul’s, drew 9-9 vs Tormead A, before winning the 5/6th place playoff vs St George’s Ascot by 7-6.

We played host to LEH on September 26th for a series of U14 matches. The B team won 10-5 (MVP Claire I), the C team lost 3-6 (MVP Iona H), the D team lost 8-12 (MVP Milla C). The following day our U13s played some high scoring games against South Hampstead High on 27th September, with the B team losing 2-24, the C winning 8-0 (MVP Emma W), the D team winning 15-1 (MVP Elodie H). Also on September 27th our U12 A-F teams took on St Paul’s away. Our A team won 24-12 (MVP Anishka G), Bs lost 2-11 (MVP Nishka P), our C team won 11-3, D team drew 3-3, E team lost 0-3 (MVP Chloe R) and F team lost 0-7 (MVP Nandika S). Great to see so many Year 7s playing for the teams! Our U15B team also played and lost 17-24 to LEH at home (MVP Lila P).

Badminton

Our U14A and U16A teams both took the wins away to Godolphin & Latymer School on 3rd October.

Hockey

Our U13 A and B team played Godolphin & Latymer at home on 5th October, with our A team winning 1-0 and our B team 4-3. Our U14A team also played away to Godolphin but lost 2-4 (MVP Katerina G). The previous week St Augustine’s were our opponents for several hockey fixtures. Our U15A team drew 1-1 (goal by Zoe J, MVP Zoe D), our U12A drew 1-1 (goal and MVP Lara V-H), our U12B drew 2-2 and our U13A drew 1-1 (MVP Johanna K), our U13B won 3-0. Our U14A team hosted a 2-2 draw with Highgate on 29th September.

Swimming

At the ESSA Relay Gala on 4th October, our Senior team of U16 and U18 swimmers finished third in their heat for both freestyle and medley relays, as did our Intermediate team (U14 and U15). Our Junior team (U13) finished sixth in their heat for both the medley and freestyle relays.

Trampoline

Our U16 and U14 teams competed against Godolphin & Latymer away in a friendly on 3rd October.

Water Polo

Our U15A team took a great win 11-4 away to Highgate School on 5th October.
