Winners at the UK Space Design Challenge London Regionals!
By Mr Lawrence, Head of Engineering
On Saturday 30th November, nine students were part of the winning team at the London regional heats for the UK Space Design Challenge.
They had to form a ‘company’ with 4 other schools and develop a proposal for a mining and manufacturing colony on Mars in the year 2074. Our students worked hard all day developing the proposal and presented to a panel of judges in the evening. As regional winners, they go on to compete in the National finals in March with the aim of being national champions and being selected for the UK team to fly out to Florida to compete in the International finals at Kennedy Space Centre in the summer.
