Over cake and mocktails our Year 11 students had the chance to spend time with peers and sixth formers who shared their experiences of life as an NHEHS Sixth Former including their own tours of the Sixth Form Centre itself. They also had the opportunity to speak in more depth to subject teachers about possible choices and alumnae,\u00a0 as well as listen to extremely helpful advice on careers and skills.<\/p>\n<p>Along with their parents, the Year 11s also heard from Dr Pearce and Head Girl, Charlotte, about the very unique community that defines Sixth Form life. The Year 11s were also able to speak to some Year 12 students and Year 13 subject representatives, plus talk through co-curricular opportunities with Mr Henderson, Miss McHenry, Mr Rodgers-Endersby and Year 13 students. Mrs Collins, Ms Copin and several alumnae were on hand to discuss getting into competitive universities and Ms Parr, Mr Shoults, and a member of the Parents Guild Careers Committee spoke about futures and careers.\u00a0Ms Copin shared her words of wisdom regarding A-level combinations and how certain combinations can open up more interesting choices within the world of work later on and Mr Shoults provided an insight on the extensive range of co-curricular and leadership opportunities on offer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n              <\/div>\n          <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":34749,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[30,42],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.0 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Into the Sixth for Year 11 &#8226;
