Year 10 Bring Smiles to The Log Cabin Children at Annual Party
On 9th June we held our annual party for The Log Cabin, which was organised by the Year 10s. The Log Cabin charity in Northfields supports children with additional needs or disabilities and their siblings to socialise and have fun.
The Log Cabin is one of our designated local charities that the school has been supporting for a number of years and the annual after-school party is held on our Enrichment Week Volunteering afternoon, which has become a long-standing NHEHS tradition.
All Year 10s had a role and either helped set up the party or ran the inside activities and outside games, performed a play, or baked and served the party food.
Our guests and The Log Cabin volunteers all had a wonderful time – thank you Year 10! Extra thanks to Mr Rodgers-Endersby for taking part in a competitive game of Duck Duck Goose, much to the delight of the children!
The Log Cabin said, “Thank you so much for your continued support and for organising such a joyful event for our children at The Log Cabin Charity! We’re so grateful to the amazing Year 10s and the whole NHEHS community for their energy, creativity and kindness — what a wonderful tradition!”
We are also looking forward to fund raising for The Log Cabin in September with our Staff & Parent team who will be running the Ealing Half Marathon and 5K at the end of September.
