On 8th June, we held our annual party for The Log Cabin, which was organised by the Year 10s. The Log Cabin charity in Northfields supports children with additional needs or disabilities and their siblings to socialise and have fun.

The Log Cabin is one of our designated local charities that the school has been supporting for a number of years. The annual after-school party has become a long-standing NHEHS tradition and is held on our Enrichment Week Volunteering afternoon.

All Year 10s had a role and either helped set up the party, decorated the main hall, ran the inside activities (Play-Doh, crafting, colouring) or served the party food.  One  group wrote and performed their version of Cinderella whilst the audience joined in with booing and hissing.  A few of the Year 10s also led the singing confidently at the end, when everyone joined in enthusiastically.

Our guests and The Log Cabin volunteers all had a wonderful time. Thank you, Year 10!
