Last Thursday we welcomed our Year 13s back to NHEHS for a wonderful (and rather warm!) evening of celebration, reflection and friendship at this year’s Leavers’ Ceremony. They were joined by senior school staff, proud parents and family members who all gathered to celebrate the Class of 2026 and wish them every success as they begin their exciting new chapters.

Each student was presented with her Leavers’ Certificate, with prizes awarded to recipients in recognition of outstanding achievement and contribution.

As well as inspiring speeches from Mrs Saunders, our Head Girl Olivia and Chair of Governors Kathryn Caine (née Hunt), herself an NHEHS alumna from the Class of 1987 we were delighted to be joined by our guest speaker, and NHEHS alumna, Angellica Bell (Class of 1993).

Angellica shared a heartfelt speech, filled with kindness, encouragement and wisdom. She described NHEHS as a “lifeline” that gave her confidence, opportunity and a sense of belonging, reflecting on the teachers and friendships that helped shape her journey.

Drawing on her own broadcasting career, and the challenges she faced, Angellica encouraged Year 13 to embrace resilience, kindness and authenticity, leaving them with a simple but powerful message: trust yourself, value the people who support you and be proud of who you are as you step into your next chapter.

Thank you Angellica and congratulations to Year 13. Welcome to our wonderful NHEHS alumnae community!
