"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Year 6 Gift “Above and Beyond Legacy Cup” to NHEHS Juniors

Legacy Cup PresentationTo mark and remember their time at the Junior School, our outgoing Year 6 girls gave a lovely gift to the future pupils of NHEHS Junior School.Y6 Legacy Cup Badges

This special cup, inscribed with ‘NHEHS “Above and Beyond” Legacy Cup of Class 2019’, was presented to Mrs Silva at the Year 6 Leavers Assembly in July by Dana, Josephine, Shivali and Alice.

The Cup will be awarded to any girl in the Junior School at any time for doing something exceptional (at Mrs Silva’s discretion).

To qualify, a girl must have done something exceptional in a particular area, be it demonstrating kindness or helpfulness to others, something musical, artistic or sport-related or perhaps raising money for charity.

Once awarded, a pupil will take the cup home for a week before returning it. She will also receive an “Above and Beyond” badge that she can wear for the duration of her time at NHEHS to show she has been presented with the award.

All Year 6 NHEHSAs the Cup was a gift from all of the Year 6 girls, each of them also received an “Above and Beyond” badge at the end of the summer term to remember their time at the Junior School, and the legacy they leave behind.

We look forward to seeing who will be the first NHEHS Junior pupil to receive the award in 2019/20!
