Year 6 Play in Hockey Tournament at St Benedict’s
Earlier this month ten Year 6 girls played in the St Benedict’s U11 Girls Hockey Tournament.
Playing together as a team for the first time, the girls impressed with their energy, teamwork, and growing confidence on the pitch.
Competing in three group matches, the team faced tough opposition. They narrowly lost to Orley Farm in their opening match, rallied to earn a well-deserved draw against Belmont Prep, and finished with a spirited effort in their game against the hosts, St Benedict’s.
Head of PE Mrs Vao said, “Every player should be proud of their effort on the field! A special shoutout to Emelia P and Zoe P, who scored the team’s goals, and to Martha B for bravely stepping into the goalkeeper’s shoes for the first time. Great work, girls—your determination and sportsmanship were a joy to watch!”
Thank you to St Benedict’s for hosting!
