The annual Senior School Carol Service was held on Monday 16th December and we were delighted to welcome back some recent and slightly less recent old girls.

All the choirs were in attendance with the Harmony and Senior Choirs singing the works by Bob Chilcott that they had rehearsed with him at the workshops the previous week. Chamber Choir excelled with their traditional performance of a movement from Britten’s ‘Ceremony of Carols’, this time choosing the polyphonic ‘As Dew in Aprille’. The Lower School Chamber Choir kept the mood upbeat with their rendition of the American traditional ‘Rise up Shepherd and Foller’.

The finale involved all four choirs circling the audience for a moving rendition of ‘Carol of the Bells’ in surround sound. The carols were accompanied by our growing, and now 20 strong brass ensemble.
