“Our Community and Partnerships programme seeks to encourage students to become considerate, compassionate and courageous, and take responsibility for the community and the environment in which they live.”
BUDS
Our Primary School Partnership is called BUDS.
BUDS is our Saturday enrichment programme. Working with primary schools within the local Ealing Community, the programme aims to build understanding and develop skills through a series of Saturday morning sessions. Each session has an inspiring blend of STEM, English and Maths challenges which are delivered by our inspiring specialist teachers.
Green STEM Challenge
The Green STEM Challenge is our scientific sustainability project.
This is a partnership with Imperial College and the Grantham Institute and supported by mentors from Imperial postdoctoral students. Our Year 12 scientists collaborate with students from local schools to create research reports on potential solutions to global environmental challenges, before presenting their findings and ideas at Imperial to a group of scientists.
Annual Medics Conference
NHEHS students organise and host an Annual Medics Conference
This initiative is organised for Year 12 and 13 students from local partner schools, providing aspiring medics with an insight into a career in healthcare and to gain some ‘real-world’ experience. The event centres on case study based sessions, featuring the problem-solving style that many medical schools adopt, and also includes valuable Q&A sessions where students can find out more about the journey to becoming a healthcare professional.
Our parents and alumnae also offer annual Multi Mini Interview (MMI) practice interviews for Sixth Form students from local partner schools who are hoping to study medicine or dentistry.
