Strong Performances from Juniors at Falkner House Cross Country in Battersea
By Mrs Vao, Head of Junior PE
Last Friday, with strong parental support in Battersea Park, the Falkner House Interschool Cross Country event saw sixteen girls (four each from Year 3,4,5 and 6) running for school.
Despite the quick turnaround between fixtures for some , it didn’t stop the girls from putting in a great run. In the Year 4 race our first runner placed third individually. NHEHS was particularly strong in the Year 5 race with our runners placing first, second, fourth and fifth.
Once all the individual placings had been totted up, we found out that our Year 3 Team were third overall, the Year 4s second overall and last but not least the Year 5s were first overall. What a great result!
For some it, it was an exciting first foray into Cross Country and all should be very proud of their efforts.
