A Great Start To Our 150th Anniversary Bursary Appeal
It has been an inspiring eight months since we first launched our 150th Anniversary Bursary Campaign.
We have been so very grateful for the support which we have received across all three of our newly proposed bursaries and, in particular, for the Parents’ 150th Anniversary Bursary. Our aspiration, to create a new, transformational (ie 95%+) bursary for a young person in need from Year 7 and upwards, needs our parents to donate £180,000. We know this is an ambitious target, not helped by the current economic climate, but collective action can lead to remarkable, life-changing results.
Many of you have already answered the call and been so generous. You, our current parents from Reception to Year 12, have pledged a whopping £44,571 through the 1% method alone, and almost £10,000 in one-off gifts. We are therefore very much on our way to bring this aspiration to fruition in the coming anniversary year. Thank you!
To reach the target will take the action of many more, so we would be hugely grateful, if you have not already, for you consider contributing to the appeal in one of the following two ways.
1. 1% method
This innovative way of regular giving, whereby 1% of your school fees is added to the Appeal, allows you to make a sustained commitment to support bursaries at an accessible level for many of our families. In the next academic year, a termly instalment for a Senior School pupil from September is £74.08 and a monthly instalment £18.52. A termly instalment for a Junior School pupil is £57.13, and a monthly instalment £14.28. Pledges must be made for a minimum of a three terms. Signing up is quick and easy, simply complete this short Google Form and we can do the rest. NB closing date for a September start i.e. to align with the start of our anniversary year, is 29th July.
2. Single Giving
One-off gifts are greatly appreciated at all levels and can be safely and securely given using most major payment methods by visiting https://www.gdst.net/donate/NHEHS
If you prefer to give in other ways we can facilitate most, including CAF vouchers and Pay Roll giving. See the GDST website here for more information.
