"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

A Record 11 NHEHS Students Represent Their Boroughs at London Youth Games Cross Country

The London Youth Games 2022/23 kicked off with their largest event of the year with the Cross Country at Parliament Hill, Hampstead on 19th November. The event is open to runners in Years 6-12 and teams can include 1-12 people, usually selected based on performances at the borough schools cross country championships held earlier this term.

This year most of the London Youth Games races had around 200 competitors taking part in them with every runner trying to win points to add to their borough team’s overall score. NHEHS had a record number of 11 students taking part with ten runners representing the Borough of Ealing and one Brent. Everyone ran really well – especially with the highly competitive but iconic dash up the hill at the start of the races!

U11 – Violet M, Emily C & Alice W-B (Ealing borough placed 5th for U11 females)

U13 – Sofia B (Ealing were 6th)

U15 – Natasha B, Minna W, Emma , Isabella P (Ealing were 9th)

U17 – Nicola H, Rosie H (Ealing were 14th) and Eadi S-J (Brent)

Well done to all our runners on helping the Ealing female team take a fantastic 6th place out of all 32 London boroughs! Special mentions to Violet M (3rd in Under 11), Nicola H (14th) and Sofia (25th) in their races.
