Alternative Prospectus Evening: Alumnae Share Words of Wisdom with Sixth Formers
It was wonderful to welcome back several alumnae to NHEHS last week to speak to our current Year 12 and Year 13 students about life at university.
This has been an enormously successful and helpful event in the past helping students finalise their shortlists. We were delighted to hear from current university students and recent graduates from a wide range of universities including Bath, Camberwell, Cambridge, Durham, Imperial, Kings College London, LSE, Oxford, SOAS and UCL. It was particularly useful for our Sixth Formers to hear about the different types of campus and college set ups, as well the variety of courses studied, including Economics, Classics, Natural Sciences, Maths, International Relations, Biomedical Science and History. Our alumnae shared their experiences on settling in, making friends, accommodation, lectures, work placement and more. As always, advice from their peers is always invaluable in helping Year 13 make their shortlist of five courses for their UCAS applications, which they are able to discuss with their UCAS mentors ahead of the UCAS early application deadline later this term.
